Dr. Melissa Nensel

DDS, FAGD, Diplomate ABDSM

Dr. Nensel is dedicated to lifelong learning and has earned her Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. She also participates in the Midwest Gnathostatic Research and Study Group, which meets each year to explore a wide range of dental topics. Along with regular local continuing education, she has completed multiple programs at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. The Pankey Institute is respected by major dental organizations and draws dentists from across the world who are committed to providing exceptional, personalized care.

Dr. Nensel has a special interest in improving the airway for children and adults and the link between oral health and total body health. Her goal is to find the root cause of oral conditions to set patients up for long term success and stability. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and continues to learn the latest in sleep and growth and development.

Outside the office, Dr. Nensel enjoys time with her family, cheering on her kids at their activities, and supporting the Creighton Bluejays and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Dr. Kelsey Wittorf

DDS

Dr. Wittorf believes the connection between oral health and whole-body wellness should always guide patient care. She provides nearly all dental procedures with a gentle, thoughtful touch. To stay current with modern standards, she remains active in several professional organizations. She is a member of the AGD, ADA, and NDA, serves as an At-Large Board Member for the Omaha District Dental Society, has completed nearly all core courses at the Pankey Institute, and participates in a variety of study clubs. She is passionate about practicing dentistry with an approach that supports overall health.

When she is away from the office, Dr. Wittorf enjoys time with her boyfriend and golden retriever and loves cheering on the Creighton Bluejays. Traveling, reading, and exploring new restaurants are among her favorite hobbies.

    Liza has worked in the dental field for over 10 years! She’s been a dental receptionist, a dental assistant, and continued her passion for dentistry into dental hygiene! Outside of Dentistry Liza loves to workout, and on the side she has her own online fitness business! For fun, Liza likes to spend time with her husband Justin, daughter Quinn and her dog, Daisy. In her spare time Liza enjoys hunting, fishing, hanging out with her friends and reality tv!

    Alisha

    RDH, Myofunctional Therapist AOMT-C

    Alisha is one of our Dental Hygienists and our Myofunctional Therapist at Waterford Dental. As a dental hygienist she works primarily with our new patients. Alisha believes it is important to help educate patients about the health of their mouths and how it relates to their systemic health. She graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa in 2010. Since then, Alisha has discovered her passion for treating patients with airway disorders as a Myofunctional Therapist. Alisha passed her boards through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in 2019 to become a Certified Myofunctional Therapist. At home, Alisha is a Wife to her Husband, Justin, and a Mom to her 3 boys, Brooks, Blake and Beau. When not at work, Alisha enjoys cooking, eating and spending time with family and friends.

    Gage is from California, moving to Nebraska a few years ago. If he’s not studying or working, in his free time he likes to read, try new recipes, or hang out with his friends / family.

    Dental Assistant

    Jillian is currently a full time student at the University of Nebraska Omaha on the pre-dental track. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and part of Dance Marathon at UNO. In her free time, she loves to be with friends and family, crochet, play volleyball, exercise, cook, and bake! After college, she plans to attend dental school and join the Air Force and work as an Air Force Dentist for a few years.

    Office Manager

    Dana is married to her husband Ryan. She met Ryan during her freshman year at Morningside College and she knew he was the one. They have been together for almost 20 years! Dana has two sons, Logan and Tanner, who keep her very busy!! Outside of work Dana enjoys baking, board games, and lunch dates with friends!
